Zelda: BOTW Is the 2017 Game of the Year

Just in time for Christmas, Zelda: Breath of the Wild took home GOTY honors at the 2017 Game Awards. The smash hit title, which was instrumental in the successful launch of the Nintendo Switch console, also received the award for Best Game Direction and Best Action/Adventure Game. Other notable winners included Cuphead for Best Indy Game and Best Art Direction, NieR: Automata for Best Music/Score, and Overwatch, for Best Ongoing Game and Best eSports Game.
PageBreaks Take: Not too many surprises at the 4th Annual Game Awards, with fan favorite Zelda taking best of show at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.
