Pixar and Disney's Coco won the box office crown for the second weekend in a row, adding $27.5 million for a total domestic cume of $110 million after ten days of release. The file dropped only 46% from its Thanksgiving weekend premiere, which is a better hold than Moana (50%), and Tangled (56%). Coco also added $69 million internationally this weekend for an overseas total of around $171 million, and a global cume of $280 million.

Warner Bros. and DC Comics' Justice League once again finished in second place with $16.7 million, bringing its total domestic haul to just under $200 million. Internationally, Justice League grossed another $35.7 million in 66 markets, for a total overseas cume of $370 million and a global total of $567 million.

A number of Oscar contenders did well over the weekend in limited release. A24's Lady Bird brought in $4.3 million as it expanded into 1,194 theaters. The film's total box office to date is now just under $17 million, with more to come as it continues to add screens into the holiday season. A24 also released The Disaster Artist, which got off to a great start with an anything but disastrous $1.2 million from 19 locations, or $63,755 per theater. Meanwhile, Fox Searchlight's The Shape of Water was equally impressive, bringing in $166,564 from just two theaters for an average of $83,282 per location. The film will add 45 new theaters next weekend in 12 new markets, and is expected to reach 800 locations by the Christmas holiday. And finally, Woody Allen's latest film, Amazon Studios's Wonder Wheel, opened in five theaters with $140,555; an okay $28,111 per location.

PageBreaks Take: The box office holds its collective breath as it awaits the December 14th premiere of Star Wars: The Last Jedi. Tracking is all over the map for the latest Skywalker installment, but look for a weekend north of $200 million.
