Warner Bros. and DC Comics' Justice League fell well short of expectations, lassoing just under $94 million over the three-day weekend. It's the lowest opening for any of the films in DC's Extended Universe, and with brutal reviews and an audience CinemaScore of "B+" the long-term prospects are less than super. Internationally, the film brought in about $185 million from 65 markets for a $279 million worldwide debut. Leading the way, Justice League brought in $51 million from China, WB's second largest opening in the marketplace behind Batman v Superman. The film also brought in an estimated $14.2 million in Brazil, $9.8m in the UK, $9.6 million in Mexico, $8.8 million in Korea, $6.5 million in Russia, $6.3 million in Australia and $6 million in France.

In second place, Lionsgate's Wonder, greatly exceeded early estimates with a total of $28 million. Strong reviews and a rare "A+" CinemaScore helped drive the result. Disney and Marvel's Thor: Ragnarok fell to third place with about $22 million in its third week. Ragnarok's domestic cume now stands just shy of $250 million.

Internationally, Ragnarok added an estimated $24.1 million pushing the film's international cume to $490.7 million for a global total of $738.1 million.

PageBreaks Take: Even with strong legs, Justice League will have to work hard to get to $250 million domestic and $700 million global. This would be disastrous result for the future of the DCEU.
