Tyler Perry's Boo 2! A Madea Halloween scared up the number one box office spot over the weekend with a less than horrifying $21 million. Boo 2 came in about $7 million short of the original's opening, but it did receive an "A-" CinemaScore from opening day audience. In a distant second, Warner Bros.'s disaster flick Geostorm, washed-out with about $13.7 million from 3,246 screens. With a Rotten Tomatoes score of 13% and a "B-" CinemaScore, Geostorm is likely to dissipate from theaters quickly. Universal and Blumhouse's Happy Death Day held on for third place in its second week, dropping 64% to $9.3 million. The film's domestic cume now stands at $40.7 million. WB's Blade Runner 2049 fell to $7.4 million, bringing its domestic cume to $74 million. The film added another $14.3 million internationally, and now enjoys an international cume of $120.1 million and a worldwide tally of $195 million. Blade Runner 2049 debuts in China and Japan next weekend.
