Amazon Hopes Something Will Come of Something as Shakespeare's King Lear Heads Into Production

Amazon Prime Video, along with the BBC, has announced a film adaptation of Shakespeare's classic tragedy, King Lear. The cast is led by Sir Anthony Hopkins in the title role, along with Emma Thompson as the king’s dissembling daughter, Regan. The action will take place in a fictionalized version of present-day England, and is scheduled to debut next year.
