Young Sheldon Premieres with a Bang

CBS may have finally found a sitcom to follow The Big Bang Theory, and it happens to be Big Bang Jr. Young Sheldon, the new single-camera series that tells the early-childhood story of Jim Parsons popular character drew 17.21 million total viewers for its premiere, retaining an outstanding 98% of its Big Bang lead-in. It also grabbed a 3.8 rating in the 18-49 demo, making it the top new show of the week.

PageBreaks Take: It didn't take CBS long to acknowledge the strong Young Sheldon debut. The network announced a full-season pickup after the first week.
