San Diego Comic-Con 2017 has wrapped and the annual marketing boondoggle was long on lines, but short on any real breaking news. Sure, Ben Affleck will be Batman forever (sorry haters), Michelle Pfeiffer's new superhero costume will now have a stinger, and Harrison Ford vowed to reboot all his roles except for Regarding Henry - because he can't remember ever being in the movie. In terms of buzz, the new season of Stranger Things and the upcoming Marvel release Black Panther seemed to have generated the most heat, and the much anticipated early look at Steven Spielberg's Ready Player One caused a lot of head-scratching and a fair amount of hand-wringing. Blade Runner looks great, Justice League is now the Wonder Woman and friends show, and someone needs to explain again why Grant Gustin is not playing The Flash. A ton of trailers, a ream of autographs, and some cosplay that really should be illegal. That's a wrap from San Diego.
