Ron Howard To Fly Solo

According to Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy, Ron Howard will take over direction of Han Solo: A Star Wars Story, which is slated to open on Memorial Day in 2018. The film's current directors, Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, are leaving because of what they said were "creative differences." Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy said she was thrilled that Howard had joined the team as director. Howard is an Academy Award winning director, best known for films such as A Beautiful Mind, Apollo 13, and The Di Vinci Code.
