Cars 3 Passes Wonder Woman To Take the Box Office Crown

Disney and Pixar's Cars 3 sputtered a bit, but made it to the finish line in the number one position, bringing in $53.7 million over the Fri-Sunday weekend. In second place, Wonder Woman dropped a slight 29.5% in its third week of release, adding $41.3 million to a haul that now stands at $275 million. Wonder Woman also increased its international tally by $39.5 million, and now boosts a worldwide total of $571 million. In third, Lionsgate's All Eyez On Me beat expectations at $26.4 million. Also new, Entertainment Studios' 47 Meters Down fished in $11.2 million, while Sony's Rough Night was rough indeed at the box office, finishing outside the top five at just $8 million.
