All Eyez On Me Celebrates Tupac's B-day With $3.1M On Thursday

Lionsgate's Tupac biopic All Eyez on Me earned $3.1 million from previews on Thursdays. The film, directed by Benny Boon and starring Demetrius Shipp Jr. as Tupac opened in just under 2,500 screens and is expected to bring in about $20 million over its first weekend. Meanwhile, the Disney/Pixar sequel Cars 3 made $2.8 million from previews, but should dominate the weekend with a final total close to $60 million.
